Now I am impressed with that, shows some care about surfers (and about their reputation). Also gave me the opportunity to vent a bit.

I don't know how I'd answer some of those questions... I mean, the look is definitely better, but many of the results are gibberish.

The survey changes everytime you fill it out...does it register your IP address? If so, then only one person from our company can fill out the form.

Hit you "reload" a few times and you will see that there are 2 versions of the survey.
I tried them both 2 twice from a static IP and had no problems...

the saga contuies:

Dear AltaVista User:

Last month, at the end of a survey on AltaVista you gave us this email address to send you a set of follow-up questions. Well now we're planning changes to AltaVista and we'd like to hear what you think first.

As always, your responses will remain anonymous - so please feel free to be candid about both the positive things and the areas for improvement.

The survey takes about 3 minutes to complete.

Once again, we thank you for your help.

Seemed to be a bit too much about how pretty the whole thing should look in the latest survey.
q:Which of these logos do you prefer.
a:Whichever one gives me the best search results.

RE:"your responses will remain anonymous - so please feel free to be candid"

Phew, there was me worried that if I said something nasty they were going to send the boys 'round to sort me out. I'll sleep easier tonight.
