It seems that now you have to pay to rank well in any search engine, except for Google.
Going forward, will there be any way to rank well in MSN for free, if you have a quality, original content website?

Both Yahoo! and Inktomi (used by MSN) crawl the web for free, in addition to their PFI programs. I do roughly as well on MSN and Yahoo! searches as on Google, and do not pay for any of them.

Thanks for your answer.
But I am ranked top 20 in Yahoo for my main keyword, top 30 for Google and not listed at all in MSN.
How do you get the Inktomi bot crawling your site, without paying for it?
Also, the "old" Inktomi results are supposed to be going away, acording to the Yahoo Reps at SES, to be replaced by the new Yahoo results. I'm just speculating, but this may mean that if you do well in Yahoo, you will soon be doing well in MSN as well. That is, at least until MSN switches over to its own results.
