I paid ink, yahoo, should I consider any others

What engines offer value?

I'm a little downtrodden about paying for yahoo, since it doesn't increase your rankings on their engine (I thought it did), but I think being included in that directory is important regardless.

Inktomi has definitely generated traffic for me.

Are there other engines that offer similar value?

I considered the Fast engine, but I don't know anyone personally who uses the search engines they feed.

Well FAST/Alltheweb feeds Lycos so that may be worth it. Also, Altavista and Teoma/Ask Jeeves have paid inclusion programs.

These engines are unlikely to provide more value than submission to Ink.

You can of course wait for your website to be crawled by the other engines, but there are no guarantees if you do not pay.
