Hi I am new to inktomi I have changed my website design which is now looked after by a new company but it still has the same url. Previously, my previous webdesigner looked after the inktomi account, which I think is due to expire shortly. Can I submit the url myself or is it better to let him do it? How many Urls should I submit?

Depends how you want to go about this. If you're big enough, you can go to Inktomi directly and be included that way. Or, you can go to a SEO/SEM firm and pay them to do it for you.
Personally, I suggest the latter of the two :P
