I use to eat and drink google before florida update, now I am planning to shift my interest to other SEs as well.
Mine is around 4 months old site, I never submit my sites to any SEs as they find it by their own. Mine was #33 before florida update, now it is nowhere, my site is a quality one with over 100 pages.
My questions are :-
1) What The SEO tips for altavista, can anybody send me a link, where I can learn it. Or in short, "How to get good ranking in alltheweb?"
Tell me about other useful SEs, which can help me get more traffic, I will prefer free submission ones. Even some thread will do.

It works for me, never tried to do a thing for AV or ATW, and not a great deal for INK, and they all seem to love the "old" Google optimization. Make sure you include the keywords tag, even though Google never used it.
Yeah very true, all the tricks remain the same. But still I am not in top 100 in Altavista. The stragest part is I am not indexed by ATW. Doesnt ATW finds the sites by its own, do we have keep resubmitting to it?
I have around 1500 backlinks and most of them must be in ATW also.

It sure does....submission is not necessary.
If your 1,500 backlinks are from external sites then you should have been indexed long ago by FAST.
If you have 1,500 external backlinks in AV then you should rank very close to the top, unless you are in an extremely competitive arena.....which I am guessing is unlikely.
So the question I would ask is where are these 1,500 backlinks coming from? Are they internal, from only a small number of domains or from 1,000+ domains....I don't see how it can be the last one ;)
