What pages to be submitted?

I wonder if Altavista has a preference for the home pages or not; that is, if I want to optimize (and submit) a www.homepage.com/..../....html, and not my home page (because there is too much java, flash etc... for example)will be this "sub-page" less considered than an eventually optimized home page?
(I hope you can understand what is the problem, even if this is some error in English!)

Hi Chi,

AV does appear to prefer the homepage over subpages (I think this is partially because incoming links usually point toward the homepage giving it a stronger link popularity). However it is still very possible to get a subpage ranked well.
