Now in MSN SERPs sponsored sites are located on the right side very similar to google.

Hmmm, from the couple of searches I tried the sidebar sponsored sites are the next five Overture resultesin addition to the usual three Overture listings.

Looks like MSN's just trying to maximize it's real estate.

moltar, you beat me to it. I was just logging in to report the same thing.

I'm seeing Overture results 4-8 on the sidebar.

Interesting. Gives my LS listing an advantage.

I've seen pure OV listings on the right. And regular listings start right from LS as martinibuster noted.

But there are also combinations when it's on top AND on the right.

Maybe when they have too many advertisers for some keywords they use both and when they have fewer then MSN puts them on the right?

I have a client that must be paying lots of $$$ for PPC (law firm). I don't really know how much, I don't deal with advertising part. And all the listings from his sector show up on the right.

Then I also have a personal project and in that area bids are minimum. For those keywords MSN shows ads in both sections (top and right).
