Is PFI in both Ink and LS counter-productive?

If so which is best?

I believe I have read in earlier threads that it can be counter-productive, even harmful, to pay for inclusion in BOTH Ink and LS. Would someone kindly:

1. Confirm that I understood this correctly
2. Suggest which of the two it would be preferable to go with for paid inclusion

Depends on your competition. If more than one of your competitors is using LS, then you are pretty much obliged to follow suit. LS results come before Ink results.

If your competition isn't using LS, then use Ink PFI, and optimize those pages.

If you use Looksmart, use it for different pages than any INK pages you may already have, and be sure to target different keywords.

If you duplicate pages, what will happen is that the LS pages will be substituted for the INK pages because INK receives a monthly feed from them, and LS pages take precedence.
