ANything significant in the VeriSign Inktomi renewal notice?

I searched and couldn't find a thread on this.
The other day I got an urgent looking renewal notice for my Inktomi inclusion purchased through VeriSign (now Network Solutions). However it was almost 3 months in advance of the renewal date.
I am wondering if this is just a stock 90 day renewal notice or if:
1) they are doing me a favour as Overture may raise prices on its new acquisition
2) they are losing their Inktomi "franchise" and want as many renewals as possible before that happens
3) it is just routine
Anyone got any info?

Maybe I'm all wet, but it seems to me the the frequency of urgent renewal notices from Veri-sign (and a couple of back-country magazines I enjoy) is almost the same frequency as the arrival of a certain ISP's cd for 1000+ free hours.

IMHO anyone who is signed up for Ink PFI under Verisign will find much smoother sailing if they switch over to PostitionTech.

I suppose all you have to do is let the Verisign subscription expire, then sign up with PT the next day, but can anyone confirm the timing to switch from Verisign to PositionTech for a renewal? For instance, will it cause a problem if you sign up under PositionTech a few days before the Verisign subscription expires?

No, you're probably dry, kevinpate (dry?).
I just haven't received a lot of urgent VeriSign notices as opposed to my domain name registrar and a couple of others, but it probaly just that.
I guess I am just mulling over whether to renew early in case Overture raises prices.
