I have been on Google Ad Words & Overture, and the ROI for the last week or so has been horrible. I was thinking about the Inktomi Index Submit service. How does this service compare to either Google Ad Words or Overture?

It would be great if they indexed the whole site but they only spider the page you submit for $$. Some have said that Ink has spidered their whole site without paying anything. I have two sites and in 4 months they only spidered pages I paid to include. Also, its easy to get buried even with a good page because of all the spam on the Inktomi partner sites.

It's hard to compare to adwords or OV

Is it worth $35/year, probably. They do provide stats for traffic sent your way and search terms used.
