Does Position Pro check Inktomi submissions?

I've noticed a listing in MSN that is a page of keywords and links to other pages that immediately redirects to the homepage of the site.

It only has the position in the search results it has because of the method used and it looks like the site has come via Inktomi.

This method of submitting will get a site banned from Google but does Position Pro have any rules or does Inktomi have any similar rules regarding pages like this? Do they check?, is it an issue for them or is it "anything goes"?

I should say there are rules for what is acceptable or not with Ink. What exactly those rules are, can probably only be answered by Ink.

If you're asking about PositionTech, a very credible source reported that they pass your submission to Ink exactly as submitted. Here's a link to Ink's "Content Guidelines" [inktomi.com].

In my experience Ink is pretty lax about enforcing these guidelines and I have no idea how they react to spam reports.

It's pretty much "anything goes" until a spammer is reported by a competitor. I reported a cheater for the exact same approach, and Ink removed the listing in less than 24 hours.

Same guy I reported & Ink dropped is of course back w/ a new cheater domain w/ keyword-stuffed, auto-redirecting doorways to his miserable, unoptimized domain. I reported him 10 days ago and no results so far.

If that's how they operate so be it - but non of the sites that cheat their way in there will last long at Google - at least that's good to know.

Yep, I listened to Brett & registered 10 URLs w/ Ink and it really does work. I'm still kicking this cheater on everything but his most focused couple of terms. But it's frustrating to see him on my tail with only one submitted URL. Where are you Ink? You're losing $!

Losing credibility which means much more and will translate into millions of dollars if webmasters begin to lose faith in the integrity of the Inktomi index.

I must admit it's a great way for new SEOs to test for Google results and it's the only other source of non-Google hits for me. My great results in Ink turned out to be fantastic in Google.

Next new domain I do: submit and improve 10 URLs to Ink until Google picks it up and only worry about spam if it gets by Google. All of the other PFIs that I haven't heard a click from can KMA next billing and Ink drops down to 1 URL.

C'mon Gates, quit using Google for an evening and try your own spammy MSN search; I can give you a few good spam phrases.
