Do I bother with PFI?

Wondering whether I should bother with PFI programs

Good evening,
I'm about to ask what's about to sound like a stupid question but I've recently opened an Internet store selling Inkjet Cartridges online and am currently working to increase the number of hits running to my website. From reading the different threads, a number of people seem to be divided on to whether to bother paying to submit to the PFI indexes or to let them index you for free.

I was particularly looking at Inktomi - Is it worth the $39 registration for a small business or would this money be spent elsewhere or on a different PFI?

Any help you can give would be most apprechated.

If you've got optimized pages and if the LookSmart listings on MSN don't go past the first 2-3 pages then it might be worth it. Just remember that price is per page, not for a whole website.

I just started putting up a new site about 4-6 weeks ago. It's got a few PR4-5 links pointing to it from pages in the Ink index but the new site has not shown up in the Inktomi database yet.

It seems to take a while for the site to get picked up the free route but it probably will....eventually.
