Inktomi Description Comes from Looksmart?

Now that it looks like Inktomi results will be appearing in some fashion or other on Yahoo in the near future, I've started paying attention to my rankings there.

Unfortunately I'm showing up between 30 - 40 for my main keyword. To compare, I'm currently 14 (Google), 11 (Yahoo), 3 (AltaVista), 5 (Fast).

I finally figured out that a big reason I'm not doing well is that my title and description are coming from my Zeal/Looksmart directory listing.

Is there any way to convince Inktomi to pull the real info on my page? Will PFI do it?

Did some more digging and found that this was already discussed in a big furball here:

[webmasterworld.com...]

The problem is, that discussion ended in a stalemate with people saying:

- Inktomi confirmed this was working as designed because of their relationship with Looksmart.

- Inktomi said this was a bug and that it would be corrected "in a few weeks."

Anyone else still having this problem? Is there a final word from Inktomi whether or not this is a problem or a "feature?"

I'm pretty sure if it's a "feature", Yahoo will be upgrading it soon.

This used to happen a fair bit and I think people were being billed their $0.15 per LookSmart listing click even though these were under the Ink banner (and in the regular search listings below the L$ results).

As far as I am aware it doesn't happen anymore.
