Looks to me like Inktomi, has re-shuffled the ranking. New results showing at Pure Search and also Overture back-end. Wonder if this is a prelude to things in the making?

yes it's true. my two sites are finally in. i didn't pay anything, but i assume it must have been the odp listings or just backlinks. i've been waiting since october for this. however, only about 40% of my sites are in, although inktomi has been spidering my site very deep since december.

Definately something afoot in the land of Ink.
Somewhat dissapointing to find that my site has been relegated from first to third on our main search phrase - with first place now being occupied by a porn site and second going to Yahoo.
Still - can't have your cake and eat it...surely?..

i don't have much experience with ink, but looking at german results for keywords from different fields of interest, the results seem sometimes soooooooooo irrelevant.
why is inktomi so important today? just because of msn? i can't imagine what yahoo wants to make with inktomi, the search engine results are sometimes even worse than altavista!

Yes but Yahoo! probably thinks that it can improve Ink.
Yahoo! also knows that if it uses Ink instead of Google it can save the reported $6m a year it currently costs them.

Just noticed a huge spike in traffic to one of my sites, and traffic is coming from MSN. It seems a bunch of free pages got added -- I had just a few paid ones for that site, now it seems the whole site is in. I am a happy camper :) :) :)
