AV won't let us in the UK log on to the actual av.com so it seems they have decided to just serve up lookmart.co.uk instead. Anyone got a tip on how we can get the real av.com from the UK thanks

is it not that looksmart.co.uk is pulling from AV.com, I've some site's in AV that are nowhere to be seen in looksmart

Just to add to the confusion, Looksmart UK serves up Altavista UK results if there after directory entries, so you may be seeing AV results on Looksmart UK not the other way around. I am in both and my results in AV UK are totally different to Looksmart (over 50 pages indexed for starters)!

The interesting thing is that av.co.uk is returning totally different listings from Looksmart.co.uk but av.com accessed here in the UK is not the same as av.com accessed in the US or at least I don't think it is, which is why I would like to take a look at the US AV so I can really get confused..phew

Did you mean that you cant submit to AV.com or couldn't get on to the site?
Certainly at the weekend there was a fault if you tried to submit to AV.com having submitted to AV.co.uk first
No problem going to AV.com itself

Get your self a U.S. based proxy and plug it into your browser.

AV.com uses their own database.......

So it looks like a paid listing in looksmart uk is trumped by a free av.com listing. So if you want to look smart in the UK get ranked in the US, makes perfect sense! Where's that vodka!!
