Inktomi paid inclusion can take 2 weeks

before pages get fully indexed, and appear on MSN, etc

About ten days after submitting some pages to Inktomi (via PositionTech), I checked the click-thru stats to see what was happening. One page had gotten zilch, and yet was definitely indexed.

I did some manual keyword searches, and the page just wasn't performing, so I substituted it for another page.

Then only a couple of days later, I did some more manual checks, and lo and behold - the page that wasn't performing is suddenly top-rated for a few phrases!

I've now quickly substituted it back, but now I've no idea how long it'll take to be picked up again after the next cycle.

Is this normal for Inktomi to take about 2 weeks before seeing results (under keyword searches)?

These things can sometimes happen. Inktomi seemed to have a glitch at the beginning of the month and some updates I did took about 10 days to show up. The problem was at Inktomi's end. Usually, the 48 hour refresh is pretty stable.
