I signed up 1 url for Ink thru PT the other day. I got very bad ranks, so I've been playing around with normal optimization to try and get better ones. I get spidered every day by Slurp, but my rank only fluctuates one or two spots. Pure search is also really bad rank #60 (and not moving), and has bad description still, despite the fact that Ink has spidered me for 2 days now with my changes.
My main concern is MSN right now, seems to be the best target for my terms. Can't do Zeal, because I'm commercial. Can't do LS, because I'm broke. :)
Here's what I have so far with MSN on my most important 3 word keyphrase, if it helps to anyone.
11/08 - #51 --- after I saw results sucked, I did a little better optimization
11/09 - #49 --- waited...
11/10 - #50 --- still sucked, tried playing with kw weight/density, and made WAY better description
11/11 - #50 --- don't know what else to do....lol
I think the tweaking I did on 11/09 would really help at least boost me a couple pages. But Ink doesn't show changes.
Why is it that when optimizing and you are spidered every day, and are seeing tiny fluctuations in SERPS, INK is not showing those changes?
Do different Partners have different refresh schedules than Ink, itself?
How can I rank #50 on MSN for "big blue widgets", but rank #60 on Pure Search for same phrase?
For most important kw, Zeal/LS listings are top 3, but how is it that in the web page matches, #4 site never moves an inch? Or, are the top so many web page matches from somewhere else?
If I update my site on say, Monday, shouldn't the SERPS have updated listing by Wednesday, hence the 48 hour refresh?
Sorry for all the questions, but it just really confuses me. Maybe I am just totally off base here and not on target. Can someone set me straight, or has anyone gotten any kind of pattern down with Ink and it's Partners?
Thanks guys!
Karen
