I have see a little difference when a search is made, first only some of your description is shown and then they take some of the text where the search word is, like Google.

Good spot! I rarely use AV anymore, but I can duplicate this from here.

It also seems that titles displays a lot more caracters than before. They also have a set of sponsered links on the right side of the screen replacing the skyscraper adds. Try a high demand keyword.

It's an improvement. I expect the result will be more business. The old layout was unbelievably junky. How often is AV updating these days? I've ignored them for a long time.
