how to submit a site that has dynamically generated content

I would like to hear about different ways people have circumvented the obstacles of dynamic content site submission. I understand Google will index some databases, and some CMS will now generate their pages without a "?", making them indexable, but overall, what is the industry standard for dealing with an ASP site, or any other dynamic situation?

Does anyone have any new solutions on the horizon?

One problem with dynamic pages is individual page optimization. For example, all product pages created from one dynamic page will all be optimized the same. Some products may be more competitive than others and require different optimization to be ranked properly.

Create an extra field in your product database. Use this field to place only optimized HTML code tailored for each product you want to optimize. Don't use "" quotes in the HTML and use <style> to place it all in 1px.

Your dynamic page can call in that field say, after the <body> tag and the optimized HTML for that particular product will execute as per normal. Text, images, links, <h1> tags, etc., etc, will be contained in a single pixel and the page will visually be the same as all the other product pages.

for a while I was hell bent on removing all the search engine allergic characters from my page but I can remember being told that how deep some engines (google) wish to go is related to page rank. For me this sounded spot on and something I had not considered at the time.

I do remember however a post by Brett where there was talk of a significant increase in PR for sites that apeared top be non dynmanic. (cannot remember it though)
