Overture on Altavista.

Both top and right hand side - new?

Doing some spot checking [altavista.com] on AV, I noticed the Overture listings on the right hand side looking an awful lot like the text ads you can get elsewhere.
IMO the regular serps are now almost impossible to find through all those sponsor listings.

Is this new?

Yeah, not sure when those showed up.. it was news to me...

I saw this a while back, but it only lasted for part of a day, then switched back to Ah-ha results on the right side. It will be interesting to see if it stays this time.
