Has Altavista Gone Too Far?

I rarely visit Altavista so when I visited today I wasn't expecting a huge pop-up spiraling around the page, and when it finally comes to rest, guess what it covers? The search box.

For me this is similar to a business hiring an annoying guy to stand outside the entrance and assault potential customers on the way in.

Given their irrelevant results, maybe they were covering the search box on purpose.

Dancing or moving popups piss me off. or ones with tinny close buttons that are moving with it so you end up clicking on it while trying to close it!@ Ah I see your pain and frusteration. Theres a point where it becomes so anoying where I made the move to blacklist those sites from my computers and never return.

Hmmm, I don't get any pop-ups at all at AV. I'm not running any ad-blocking so I can only guess it is a regional thing or your IP.
