Microsoft BCentral spidering

Anyone know more about this service, is it an Inktomi spidering?

At bcentral.com/products/si/pricing.asp we come across the Microsoft BCentral spidering service costing $99 for 3 url's (or $49 for 1), for listings with search engines and directories such as AOL, MSN, Hot Bot and iWon.
The splurge states 'Listings guaranteed or full refund'.
Anyone know what this is all about? Is it another dressed up Inktomi service? Or a new spidering addition altogether?

Welcome to WmW, yanton.

Yes, it's another Inktomi paid submission service. It's a little more complicated than the others and there are a couple of other things included besides.

It takes a little longer to do the actual submission. Instead of the pages just being submitted for spidering you have to enter the page title, a short description, a long description and a list of keywords. They give the limit of the number of characters for each, so what you type in has to stay within that limit.

You can also do an automated submission to some other (free) search engines and directories.

I don't really care for the extra time it takes to do the submission, but other than that it's OK, except that it's complicated compared to the others and you have to sign up for a .NET password. The client I did the submissions for signed up and hadn't been able to work with it, it was a little too confusing.
