I'm trying to rank for a one word term in ink and have done well with other terms over the past year. I initially submitted the index page ..trying to get out as cheap as possible. That ranked in the 40's..so i submitted 3 more pages from the same domain all linked to that index page. This got me into the the 20's. Now I've sumitted about 10 others since my first page 1 month ago and I cant break the early 20's. I have about 20 links from other pages in ink's data base and i change things around and add pages but ..same rank. As far as page optimization any one have cut and dry rules for ink..??
keyword in decsription twice ..title once..body text 4-5 times. Other pages are completely relevant. Is it just a matter of a waiting period until your considered legitamite competition? This is not a competitve term from everything i see.

Try twice in the tit e, not adjacent, being discreet, 3x in keywords tag separated by 3 words, twice towards page top (H2 too) and use keyword in the -ink text on the page.

Keyboard sticking - guess missing character :)

How is it doing with straight Ink or AO- though?

Through Ink's pure results the ranking is identical to MSN. The top 20 results in MSN are identical to Looksmart's top 20. So it is apparent that they are mixiing databases even in Ink's pure results.
