Making a guess here - how many people have been using style sheets and now find that domain in the INK toilet?

How may people have PAID pages that were doing well and are now in the toilet?

How many people purchased a page on a domain with pages in the BOW and lost everything?

1) stylesheets yes, toilet no
2) paid yes, toilet no
3) no

not sure if that helps you

I have seen no drop using style sheets.
As long as the style sheet does not add content, listings can go up.

If, in fact INK was to use some type of spam filter, there wouldn't be any paid pages left, and therefore, not good for business.

With experimental pages we have been caught in two filters -1. Once the title exceeds a certain number of words the pages are treated like "free submit" pages (in the toilet)The other one is the same thing for the description - indicating the value INK is placing on those two areas.

Ink is now aware of (and is most likely reacting to) the fact that it was easier to rank well with a blank page <body> empty </body> than it was to actually have content. With the right meta tags our blank pages ruled in their keywords.

Something is causing entire domains to get trashed. A filter? A dumb glitch? This is worth watch out for, (whatever it is)

I'm trying to imagine how long my clients would continue to do business with us if, the more they paid, the less we did.

How does CSS enter the picture?

I use CSS and it's not effect my rankings on both free and paid pages.

How many words are you trying within the title?

stcrim,

i kind of agree with you...i did see some change in the listings...

i did see my sites dropping from top...

From what you are saying...does this give us an idea that blank doorpages do well in inktomi??

Also i was confused about the 48 hour refresh..i don't think it really refreshes after 48 hours...

I had a group of paid pages go in the toilet last week. They didn't use CSS and had full body text. I have other similar pages that are still doing very well. They just trashed one domain of mine.

It may not be CSS but something is causing INK to bite the hand that feeds them.

Still does NOT give me that "Reach for my visa feeling" I have always been fond of getting something for my money...
