AV returned description no longer just meta description

The AV returned description no longer appears to be just the meta description, though for some of my sites the meta description is what's still returned. In others, I'm seeing snippets of the meta description and snippets of page content.... I haven't had a chance to do any detailed detective work on this. Anyone else?

Question that comes to mind is does this reflect an algo change as well, with possible loss of relevance for meta description?

The same happens to some of our sites.

Old sites show snippets of the meta description and snippets of page content.

Two sites submitted few days ago with the paid per inclusion program, shows only the meta description.
