Hi,
First post to the forum,

I dont want to jump the gun but some pages that I submitted early August have come back to MSN after more than a couple of weeks vacation. Pages however seem to be buried (not surprisingly) even though they are well optimized and initially had good positions. Unfortunatly I cant see if J6000 has been recently due to a server upgrade over the last couple of days.

Several other sites I look after have not appeared on any of the Ink. based SE's after submission in late July.

Hoping that a post in one of the other Ink. threads proves right and this period is just Ink. clearing out spam particularlly adult spam from it's db before there partnership with NSI.

Meanwhile concentrating on other stuff, like the other db's and directories that SE's are using to get there results as well as the increasingly important link pop.

PS. Just come over from Marketposition Forum, seems to be very little mention of this whole issue. Quite nice to find a forum that deals more with the nitty-gritty of this stuff.

Inktomi is certainly indexing newly submitted pages. Some I submitted on 13th August have appeared in Freeserve and MSN. They are lumped together with the existing pages which were originally at the top but have now dropped well down the list.

Welcome to the INK forum - am sure you'll get your money's worth here. I may be letting myself in for a butt-kickin' but, I really don't think the current issue with INK has much to do with the NSI deal. Beyond the obvious, how stupid would it be to bury your most recent and relevant data in favor of older buggier data. Not to mention the amount of 404's now being found in seaches - and pages that have clearly been abandoned...

This is only my opinion.

Oldtimer- Did you submit your pages through Anzwers and Canada? Is that how you got in?

We're seeing active J6000 crawling, though it has been very sloppy the past several days.... Only crawling about 20% of what has been submitted... Hopefully this weekend the index will get straightened out also.... :)

What can WE all say about today? Results never came back!

I definetly think there is a NEW algorithm in play here.
My pages DO exist in the database(checked using Anzwers), even new submissions from last Friday appear in the DB. BUT....
they are not even close to the top of the rankings.
Any ideas????????
