Where are my listings coming from?

Sites ranking in AOL Inktomi never submitted to Ink

I have several sites coming up on AOL now that were never submitted to inktomi. Where are they coming from. I do have sites in ODP that used to rank high on AOL until last week when ink took over on aol. Do you think ODP sites in the aol database are being crawled by ink and following links from these ODP sites?

welcome to the INK forum of WMW. It is close to impossible to guess where your results are comiong from - were these sites up and running a year ago when INK was spidering and providing decent search results???

I know that MSN's INK listings are now displaying pages which I never submitted --- pages created over the last 3 months. Some of these pages are from sites that are not in ODP.

Are the pages linked to from sites that are already in Ink? It could be that they're finding sites through following links. Nothing with search engines is as reliable as unpredictability.
