I know it is best to to let inktomi call you but i have very little information on the msn submit feature. mainly because i have been focused on google. But i hate it when algos change and i have all my listings in the same search engine. I think my mother told me once never put all your listings in one search engine? but then again she could of been talking about eggs i was in the middle of something on the computer when she said it. Dont ask me how to get eggs into search engines i am still working on sites.

The submit page if you dont want to drill is [submitit.bcentral.com...]

If your looking to get into MSN it's all down to the size of your credit card, basically submit to Looksmart for directory listings which normally show first then ink for web results.

Both you will need to pay for

>best to to let inktomi call you

You’ll have a long wait and I wouldn't be suppressed if you only ever got your index page in

I would love to pay if i thought the money would come back. This is a new site with a high research value but not high enough to charge for the content. The ad value is low because nobody is going to click on a "buy this here" link, but it is still high enough to pay for the web space, content updates are very automated so the labor cost is low.

I do plan to get value out of the site at a later date, this is a series of sites i am working on personally. When i can make money i will pay, but i wont pay to be vain.

I have had success in the past by feeding pages that contain links to inktomi. It was like playing with a kitten, enough times and bingo; But all cats grow old and they don't want to jump so fast.

INK is in the business of selling their services much the way a car dealer is (in fact they have a lot in common) When was the last time you were able to get a car dealer to let you have a free one???

Wish it didn't all come down to money - but it does...

Not had much luck with the submission (switched listed pages). But Ink has been slurping up existing URLs like crazy ;) will it follow links before the end of the year?

** goes back to logs to look for unvisited urls, the spider is hungry needs links.

Help me out here. What does that free MSN submit site actually submit too, Inktomi? And what’s the deal with the paid one? It looks like just an automated submitter. Is that it?

Given up with free submit to MSN a long time ago, try Direct hit if you want to get in for free, no it's not a automated submission it's just link to Looksmart paid submission which if you did that should get into the top listings on MSN

> try Direct hit if you want to get in for free

DirectHit is only a link from the first page of SERPs. A co-branded page from DirectHit, I have no idea on its popularity.

Also getting in to DirectHit is near impossible, waiting over 7 months.
