PositionTech is about to go live with their "Referral Analysis," which is a daily referral traffic report showing Inktomi clickthroughs for subscribers.

The reports are separated by day and show what the query was, how many clickthroughs were had for that day, and what the average position was for each subscribed page.

Although they only show results from 50% of the Inktomi partners, it is yet more information indicative of how people are finding sites.

I was wondering when this additional service was going to kick-in. I've had a look around the PT site but can't find out any more info on it yet.

Any ideas on which of the ink partners will be in the results? any bets on msn not being there

When you review your list of pages at PositionTech just click on any page listed. They are each links to their "Referral Analysis" for that page.

thanks Neil.

It must have only just kicked in, considering how much we pay PT/ink I would have hoped for something better...

I was hoping for a breakdown of which SE's were sending traffic to you rather than a report which claims to offer "report that only reflects less then half of all traffic generated by Inktomi". (if you believe that) I wonder which SE’s they are using for these reports.

On a plus note it was quite interesting to see some of the more obscure search terms people have found my pages under and the use of misspellings with some clients has really paid of

5/10 for effort, but hopefully will do better next year

This could prove to be very helpful. I've even seen a few phrases I didn't even optimize for. Go PT.

IMHO the only good thing to come out of this
