I have submitted a site to Inktomi via Goo.ne.jp. I have been told that massive spidering has been taking place from Inktomi, when you use goo. Beware...the site is in Japanese. The top box is for the URL and the second box is for email. I assume submit to be the left hand button.

You may well find that the site will get spidered to death but unfortunately the site will probably get buried, mind you it is fun trying to find your way around Goo :)

You can get really good rankings for English pages in Goo itself if you have a .jp domain. ;)

Yeah, but I know someone who submitted a .com to Goo, got massively spidered and really quickly got excellent (and I mean excellent) rankings on Hotbot and AOL.

This happened recently? All the doom and gloom surrounding the Inktomi free submissions seems to have scared a lot of people off. Maybe Goo is the only free submit to the Inktomi database that isn't penalized?

I get hits from Goo daily with US based .coms. I believe the Goo db is isolated for the most part -- though there may be some cross pollinating on occasion.

Does the submission need to be in Japanese?
Do the hits come in regularly or in a burst like the attack on Pear Harbor?

No, you just add your URL and e-mail address here.
