Update Schedules

Just out of curiosity does anyone know about how often Ink's partners update? I know that paid pages are updated about every 2 to 3 days, but how often are the actual databases updated? I know that it will vary, but let's say MSN or the AOL Ink results.

I haven't made any changes in a long time but - INK's partners would reflect my changes within 2 days of spidering on paid pages. Or, at least the last time we made any changes.

As far as any of INK's other DBs, I would say it's anybody's guess.

Anyone else have any thoughts???

Thanks, Steve, that's what I thought too, but it's taking at least 3 days for MSN to pick up the pages and even that is negotiable. Canada.com has yet to pick up pages paid for a week ago. It's still faster than others, but I'd like it to work as it's supposed to.

It seems that some of the sites that I have paid for through Ink are not showing up in the database in many of the partners. They show up on and off in MSN, not at all in canada.com or hotbot or iwon. It has been long past the 48-72 hour period it usually takes for them to show up and some of them did show and then poofed. Is anyone else having this problem? Jim, if you're out there, any insights?

I'm in exactly the same boat! May be of DB work they are doing - but think we should keep a close eye on it. After all we paid to be included.

Although being included in INK's db doesn't mean any of their portals. It's like paying a fee to go to the store, but you may not be allowed to bring home any of the goods.
