Is that $150 Fast Track charge a "you need to fix your meta-tag description and try again fee"?

But not to sell it short...

If you are willing to pay, it could be a good way to find out what Inktomi really likes. Unless they judge your page under their own trial and errors.

Until I see better results from the PT inclusion I think I'll wait a little.

I think I'll stick to Positiontech - no VAT! Plus they are a major competitor (even if they do use my free position reporting service occassionally) ;)

Is there a service one can try (like makemetop ;) ) that explains why some lousy sites get a higher rating in the SEs than one's own content-packed site. Strip away some of one's own bias, IOW...

Somebody has a Keyword Frequency tool (Jimworld?) but that rates my sysmod.com site better than other ones that are in fact higher in SEs.

Damn, I've just seen why makemetop chose the username ... I shoulda chosen "sysmod" then the moderator wouldn't object to me quoting my domain name . 8-)))

??

So does this mean that WebGravity is the "British" version of PositionTech?

I would be curious to see what they have to say in their "feedback and analysis"...It might very well be a way to find out what Inktomi likes.

>It might very well be a way to find out what Inktomi likes.

They do make some grandiose claims on their site, perhaps they should be judged on their work [webgravity.co.uk]?

Had a look at their product catelogue.

1) Reselling Inks spidering (discussed above)
2) Positioning placement - results withing 48 hours on 45% of the major engines
3) Reselling Looksmart, Real Names and Yahoo express.

1 and 3 are simple enough. Not sure about 2 though.

2) Refers to their claim that Ink supply results to "over 45% of the webs search engines"

Well there's a surprise, our "friends" at Webgravity have hiked the price!

First Page: £24.99 [approx $36]
Pages 2+ £10.00 [approx $14.50]

...and trying to click on the link you so graciously provided earlier NFFC, resulted in a 404 today!

thx NFFC! I got this one in time, (well they didn't take it down in the over 3 minutes it took to download.).

Heh what's with all the hidden image links to the search engine home pages?

fyi from webgravity
the inktomi paid inclusion service is one we are happy to offer, not only because it adds strength to our current product range(enabling deals such as the lycos.co.uk add url product offering);but also as a stand alone product

we spend our time putting together deals like the above, acquiring white labelled partners and pitching for large corporate positioning accounts such as BTGenie

we would not use the information for inktomi paid inclusion for commercial gain - we are a reseller of the service for the whole of europe and as such are launching thoughout in next two months.wuld not be appropriate for us to use the information in the file for our own purposes when positioning ourselves across europe with region specific products-our white labelled technology is used by other seo's in the uk and once these people start working with us they quickly realise that we are a technology company who do not put the emphasis on mass market end user sales

our pricing is now in line with the US which we are happy about as we were waiting for the new pricing to come into effect and it will remain so across europe

if any of you wish to contact me then feel free at richards@webgravity.co.uk

I looked around the webgravity page, (this might be off topic, but the rep Richard Saul plugged it, so is it okay?) and could find

no reference to add url with lycos.co.uk

Or am I missing something huge?

Cheers,
