Paid pages dropped from INK DB

May be a glitch - but it's not one I'm happy with. All of my paid pages have been dropped from MSN, and only 1 can be found in hotbot.

And with the above in mind, I remind myself there is no recourse or recovery of the money paid for those pages.

Add to that the fact that the pages did only show up in half or less than half the searches and this isn't looking like a deal I plan to spend future funds on...

PT replies to part of the problem:

Hello Steve,

Sometime on Monday 12/4 Inktomi results became inconsistent. According to
Inktomi they are having a minor glitch that is not consistently serving up
the URLs from this program. As of yesterday afternoon they thought that the
problem would be rectified sometime this morning.

We apologize for the inconvenience and assure you that Inktomi and ourselves
are committed to making this program a success for our subscribers.

Best Regards,

Steve,
Go figure! Inktomi and inconsistent in the same sentence? :) We'd have never thought of that relationship!

It seems that when ever these search engines do something new, there is always a glitch. It was only a matter of time before there would be a major glitch with this.

And it looks like there is a glitch again today (12/8). My listing is usually number 1 and 2 for a particular keyword. Today, it is nowhere to be found. Anyone else?

I think that Positiontech is a little behind on this one. "became unstable 12/4"????????????????

More like became unstable 6/27....It's funny, though, they don't even feature that prominently anymore, so I've just decided not to care. Not that that helps, but it has calmed my ulcer. ;)

Cheers,

Hate to say it again, but yes..

I have paid for listings suddenly doing the June bury! They are in there but suddenly are in the mid-100s.

I HOPE they are going to sort this out. For a couple of weeks this did really well for me.

Non-paid listings which are in the main DB are doing well.
