will the real Inktomi please stand up

Just noticed in my referrer logs that a lot of searches are coming from yahoo japan and goo. Yahoo Japan uses goo as their search engine instead of google.

Checking the information against other Ink powered search engines, goo seems to be like the "old Ink" and nothing like the post June 27th Ink. Pages that were submitted in late October are not getting the demotion that other Ink partners are doing to all new submissions.

Does anyone know anything about this goo engine?

Goo spiders our whole site every Sunday.. regular as clockwork, but we do have a fair bit of Japanese content (in English). We are getting more hits from Yahoo Japan now too coincidnetally.

Goo has a preference for Japanese domain names when returning results in English. My Japanese domain sites swamp the Goo results. Since there is no domain grouping, some keyword searches will return hundreds of results from my site showing up before any of the Inktomi results surface.
