burning software

Hi there.

there is a particular software, my friend gave me a copy of and for some reason, I have downloaded a copy into my programm section but there is no copy on the Desktop. Also it does not seem to be working...? any help on this one..

Did you just download (save) the file into your programs folder, or did you install it?

There is a lot of burning software out there. If this one isnt working then maybe you can find another at download.com.

you'll need to give us some more info before we can help you properly, like, did you install it, if so were there any errors. Has the program been put on the start menu, just not on the desktop etc.

If you're not sure about any of these, the best thing I would suggest would be to download a program called "Nero" or a program called "FireBurner" from download.com This was all you do is download the file, then double click on it and this installs it. You then should have an icon on your desktop.

These versions will (almost definitely) be trial versions or have some features limited until you buy the retail product. However, it should get you up and running!
