applets question

I have downloaded some software that creates menus with nice effects, With the free version the menu has a small link to the company name thats created the software which is understandable, I understand html code and some very very basic javascript, but when i looked at the applett code i could not see where the link to the software logo above the menu was, somehow this is totally hidden, I was just wondering of anyone knows how they do this, Of course i am not trying to get around buying the full product if i like it but was just interested to how this is done.

You will probably find that the script is drawing some info or code from a remote location. perhaps part of the applet is hosted remote so you do not have access to the code to change it, then when you purchase the software you receive all the code and can host it all on your own server.

Just a thought.
