I don't see how this could be tied to an algo update, but even sites that have moved from 3rd page to #2 position on first page are not seeing much increase in traffic...very odd.
Lucky you ;-), you're automatically getting the better results. I take it you're not from the US? I noticed that some people from outside the USA had this happening - but search.msn.com won't redirect to search.arabia.msn.com for people IN the US though.
Those results for most of the sectors I work in look quite good (and I mean from a visitor standpoint, not an seo standpoint)
The results on msn.com have a long way to go to resemble anything remotely conneted to quality in many sectors unfortunately...

People in Europe would not like to be classified as in Asia and those in Asia would not like to classified as in Europe. Now MSN put both Europe and Asia under arabia. Very weird set up in my opinion for psychological sense.
I think general users outside US would be very surprise to see themselves being redirected to arabia.search if they notice it and negative side here is that it could enhance a lack of trust in MSN. At least naming it global.msn would be a better choice, imo.
I got some new pages from a new site into the index during the update with cache 28 May and 29 May, but it could be due to the fact that the bot just crawled them some hours before the red button was pushed. Now at very pace nearly to stop...

You said the update would be complete on Monday at the latest. I'll take you at your word. I recently discontined all my PPC with Yahoo. I refuse to support a search engine with inferior serps in my areas. I was happy to put most of that money into MSN and a little into Google (there was already alot in G). Now, I'll have to take all the MSN money and put in Google. Your serps have deteriorated in my areas so badly that I can't support your company.
As for my selection of topics, I didn't see other posts that raised questions I hadn't already answered, and I didn't want to just post the same thing twice. In a few cases, I sent someone a sticky rather than reply in the forum. And, of course, we DID just have a holiday. :-)
Whats the score with the situation where you can do a search for a page you know exists in the MSN index but cant get the page returned for its targeted keywords (even when MSN appears to say all results are returned)
EG:site:domain.com may return page domain.com/red_widgets_redmond.html and when you do a search for the title of the page say red widgets redmond - the page does not appear in the results (even if there is a very low number of results returned so it is possible to check all returned results from MSN)
eg. Results 1-8 - a page which has the targeted text etc - it has been indexed as demonstrated by a site:domain.com search but cant appear for the relevant search.

I know I'm wierd, but I see the world in black and white terms. A business offers a product for sale. I decide if I want to buy it. At this time, I do not want to buy your product. msndude, I expect comments above relate to wanting an answer to: have you recored from dumping the 100 million bits of poop into the index. From what I can see, the Monday date passed without improvement.

I know msndude is trying and i've met him a few times at the pubcons, but it still needs major repair to be respectable. It really went down hill/lost its almost as good as google back in january. last 2-3 updates really killed good serps.
I got a tip at this point. Just filter out page 1-2 completely for competitive/generic phrases and you can eliminate/ reduce the spam. Just put a message that spam filter is enabled and to click here to skip to page 2 and 3 and beyond to see the real results and legitimate sites.
All kidding aside, here is the big test for relavancy/serps.. find WebmasterWorld on MSN. Search for webmaster terms related terms, obvious ones. Webmaster, Webmaster forum, webmater forums, webmaster help, webmaster discussion
Is www.webmasterworld.com in the first 2-3 pages? First 5? 10? I dont see it. Maybe just me, but i dont see it. MSN attends their conferences, sponsors their eventsm speaks on panels, but you cant find WebmasterWorld after their update. I looked, and it didnt show for any of those obvious terms. if thats the case, Then you need to check and see whats wrong and get back to the drawing board. (dont repair one site by hand either). If this isnt there, many more probably aren't either. You cant claim an update is a success, yet cant find the place you are posting on to tell us about it, in your own search engine. I searched for 'webmaster' and did not see WebmasterWorld even in the top 100.. that is really bad. Its on Yahoo/google. something is defenitely wrong/really bad.
I would suggest even just give extra weight to sites with dmoz/yahoo directory links. (spammers dont get dmoz/yahoo listings) that would go along way to getting good serps back, at the moment , sorry they are horrible.
This msn forum is busy though and we want more search engine diversity, So keep trying and eventually you'll get it good and we will support your company/efforts.
Still, if you don't think the results today are better than the results on Friday, I'd REALLY like to know what queries you're looking at!

It's not just here, but everywhere - let me just spell it out for a second: S-P-A-M. Yup, tons of it. Keyword domains are so high they passed Tommy Chong a few miles back.
