MSNSEARCH Questions

I have been trying to figure this out for about a month and can not figure out why MSNSearch results vary so differently from others. For instance I consistently rank #3 on Google, #5 on Yahoo, yet I am #73 on MSN Search.

Does anyone here know if there are any special tricks to getting higher rankings on MSN?

I have tried - keywords, metaXXXX, Doorways, Content keyword stuffing, robots.txt, and none of these are working for MSN.

Even though Yahoo Search is new technology and not classic Ink as we've known it, you could do a search on Inktomi optimization and get a few tips; there are similarities.

If you're #3 on Google chances are you're being helped by a bit of PR, links and anchor text. MSN Search appears to have a bit less to do with what the other two do - you might want to delve deeper into studying about page titles and meta description, for starters. Plus check out keyword density and placement of keywords and phrases in their "geographical" placement and frequency of occurences on pages.

I am not sure if i would take the chance on messing with pages for msn possibly at the detrement of your other serps results , specialy as MSN is moving to a full new search technology in the future

I am using anchor text, and links. PR (Public Relations?) Im not doing any of that with google.

I am glad to hear that MSN is changing their tech. Makes me mad that I can optimize my page to give good results on Y! and Google, but MSN doesn't play nice at all, and doesn't seem to use any of the others methods for getting higher rankings.
