I was doing a search on MSN for widgets Chicago and i got good results for my site - but then i noticed a link at the top saying... would you like widgets near Chicago.

Curiosity got the better of me so i decided to click it...

I got a while bunch of other sites about widgets in Chicago and surrounding areas but my site was knowhere to be seen, however i did see some of my competitor sites.

Anyone know the factors that MSN use to decide what to list in these local results?

Perhaps there is a local bot.. which has not yet indexed my webpages properly?

Any advice & help greatly appreciated.

There are several threads [google.com] in the local forum about the 'near me function' which might help.

I'm pretty sure Acxiom feeds their basic information, and then they are crawling the web for more info.
