this is a continuation of a thread that is new poster closed ( [webmasterworld.com...] )

I help run one very large site (30,000 pages * 7 languages).

I created a bd feed web map with a max of 500 links on each page. The structure is seperate site maps for each language. Each site map has an index page and the all other pages a second level only.

Results are:

MSN: 3,909
Yahoo: 77,000
Google: 237.000

So I have now read that msn can do up to 100 links on a page. Anyone care to comment on this please. Is this correct, do you have other experiences, can anyone varify this?

Hard to takeout any conclusion ...

search site:anydomain.com on MSN.com ... try to navigate 26th page in search result... let me know if you are able to view 26th page ... ;)

Hi, finally someone who has taken the thread up!

so thanks ....

ok i get your point about not being able to view all the pages and pages of supposed indexed urls, but those figures are a real problem for me.

I mean, a site with 30,000 pages multiplied by 7 languages are a lot of pages, and msn only gets > 4k. OUCH.

So I am going to do a test and change the whole site map to pages with a max of 50 links per page.

A client of mine has a strong PR7 site that has 35,000 pages - Google has 22,000 pages listed (up from 8,000 when I took on the SEO) MSN sits at a pathetic 236!

There is a CMS that gets in the way but I'm amazed that MSN is so far behind. The site is a real authority too! It has links from government departments and tons of academic sites.

You are not alone.
