MSN link population

Dramatic change in the reported number of links in MSN search

I have been using a 'Link Popularity ' tool from Marketleap to check on my website,

There was a dramatic change in the reported links in MSN search ; 8th august about 900, then 9th august about 1700, then back down to 900 on the 10th.

IS this the tool being fluky or does MSN really change this dramatically?

you got off easy mine dropped from 2300 to 650 im pissed but msn is still sending alot of people and my indexed pages are up

What causes this drop then? It sounds nonsensical for a database to shed a lot of its data!
