Bing Adds New Intelligent Answer Summary

Bing has added a new intelligent answer summary, best illustrated with this image. It's English language data, but the AI is trained in 100 languages. It'll produce results in other languages. It's released in 13 markets, with a roll out globally in the coming months.

At first I feared you’d got the Before and After mixed up, but it turns out the sample query was “Can dogs eat chocolate” which explains the yes/no.

But what of the 99% of the world’s questions that are best answered with “Sometimes”, “Maybe”, or “It depends”?

For those that just want to know a yes or no they probably wouldn't click through to a site, and if they did, they'd probably not stay long.
Unfortunately, it's the way it is these days.
It does show what's going on with the AI.

I like the idea of giving preview and choice for quick answers but I do see that long term the publishers may want a different value exchange with google because as people up above point out this reduces traffic to be had
