Bing has an interesting article which is worth a read, and it's on the topic of missed clicks. How many missed clicks are you getting on your sites?

Take a look at what they mean by missed clicks, which is a bad thing of any site, not just Bing.

@engine, I don't really understand why visitors would be clicking around there in the first place?

A gripe of mine about some sites is a lack of whitespace - that isn't the right word - what I mean is a lack of space on which you can rest your mouse or finger without clicking some thing or other. Particularly when on a phone.

@Mark_A
I think it's that Bing spotted people were clicking around the box.
We noticed that a non-trivial percentage of our users clicked multiple times on the search box. In some cases, however, the number of clicks were way more than the number of searches or re-queries issued by the user.

Why?
It could have been an issue of usability for those without dexterity, or some kind of disability; visual or otherwise.

The lesson here is that it's worth checking our own sites for issues.
