Some of those images are stunning, and to see them in 1920×1080 pixels HD is even better.

Today, we’re excited to announce that we’re adding one of your most requested features — high-definition images — along with several other improvements.Bing's Homepage Goes HD [blogs.bing.com]
The new HD image, image caption, and Office Online menu are available in all markets as of today. In most markets, you’ll get the HD homepage automatically. If you do not see it in your market, you can switch it on via Settings.

Downloadable wallpaper is available in ten markets, while the news carousel customization and minimizing is available in the United States.

I confess I go to Bing sometimes just to see the images. Some of their special effects are spectacular, a real credit to the designers.

Now if they would include tutorials on how to create them - I'd go a lot more often (is that a broad enough hint?).

Bing is awesome, not sure why people don't migrate there en mass from Gorg. You even get search rewards...better than the kick in the backside you get from Google.

I wish if they could focus more on search quality than on images only.

search is fine.

but really, think about this...what do we have to base on search quality.

goog and MS.

and if not for MS... we'd only have goog. We don't have any other search engines, the "others" don't crawl they just show results from the other engines.

I guess you can thank MS for making the internet a 2 horse race?

we need more choice...but no one will step into the ring...has the net matured as modern OS's have? apple or MS, with this thin sliver of the 3rd place nothing.

so much for the free open, ready for anyone and anything internet. Goog saw that and ate it for all its worth.
