if you type MSN into the location bar of your browser you are redirected to https passport and then back to msn search

this means msn is most likely aligning your personal details in passport to your searches

this seems to me to be incredibably invasive as passport is much more than just a cookie

Any thoughts?

Sounds like all the msn/messenger/hotmail/spaces type sites to me.

They use your passport as your login so I suppose the potential for privacy abuse is there. However, I tend to think that the potential customisations and feature benefits far outweigh the outlandish privacy concerns, afterall if you have nothing to hide why should you be worried?
