MSN Search Support is an link to looksmart.
Went in to looksmart and where they say listings will appear they donīt mention MSN.
So what do you think, if going for looksmart, will that make me in msn search while waiting to get in Yahoo, and will these results get displayed always?
And if and when I get in to yahoo, would my free listing in msn donīt appear due to the paid keywords?
Thanks
You cannot buy any paid listings from looksmart on MSN.com because they do not have business relationship any more. MSN doesn't have capability to sell paid listings as of yet. Inktomi's paid inclusion program was replaced with Yahoo's SiteMatch program, which doesn't provide the listing data to MSN.
So, unless you are already in the MSN listing through either Looksmart or Inktomi, there is no way to get in to MSN listings for a fee. You COULD be crawled for free by Inktomi slurp with slim chance.
In conclusion, spend your money on Overture to be in MSN.com until MSN really LAUNCHES its own search engine in July 2004 or possibly later this or probably in 2005.
We are paying almost same amount for the paid listing to LS as last year. Almost no change in the traffic level from MSN through LS listings.
If LS loses MSN traffic, they will lose a lot of customers.
But what I donīt understand how Msn can say this in an automated e-mail: Looking to buy 1 or 2 keywords on MSN Search? MSN Search Support will allow you to submit these words online!
(MSN search support = Looksmart) when they only signed for use these results for periodic use.
Or I donīt understood it well.
I mean if I sign up by an link from msn, I want to be displayed always for my keywords,..they donīt say sometimes....
but though you pay per click, not for time passed, could be correct. But are they really displayed?
Offtopic: why looksmart spider so heavily last month? something is on itīs way, itīs increadibly the amount of pages, think they spidered my amount of pages 8 times for this month only, and itīs not ended.
