Rumours that Live Search is to be re-branded Kumo are doing the rounds.
I'm not sure why, at the stage, Microsoft would want to do that.

They are having an identity crisis LOL or so I was told last month in our Quarterly Business Review with our account managers at Live for our paid search campaigns. They told us the name of Live Search will be changing sometime next year.

Kumo? That's 'cloud' or 'spider' in Japanese. I can see where they think they are being witty, but that hasn't helped them with their Live branding fiasco.
Hey MS, it's not the name of the SE people are having issues with!

"Live" for search is dumb but "Kumo" will dilute/confuse. Go back to MSN, fire your rebranding dept, and put the money into your crippled SE.

Ya, right? MSNBC hasn't re-branded. Take off the BC & you have MSN. Milk & repeat.
