The supporting TV advertising campaign will be aired on a broad range of channels, including Channel 4 and ITV. The first phase will run from 7 February for a number of weeks with a second phase towards the summer.
The adverts are positioned to run during television and web coverage of several high-profile events over the up and coming weeks, including The Brit Awards and the film premiere of Oceans 12. TV ads will run in global markets including the UK, Canada (in English and French), Australia and Brazil.
you don't seem to understand why Google is successful or why they are popular. a few, but not all reasons:1) pretty colors
2) i'm feeling lucky button
3) no ads or clutter, aka spartan design, on the front page
That is exactly right. The genius of Google lies behind the simplicity of their ad free / banner free / flashing this and that free / quick downloading search interface. They are the media darlings because they don't appear commercial when in actual fact they are fast becoming the most commercial website in existence.
The main reason why Google is popular is the results - people "Google" all questions in life - they don't "MSN" anything.
The user interface only reflects their philosophy of simple is best, pure relevent results are best, unlike MSN who say search is secondary because we can advertise on TV and tell you we are best and that will be a suitable substitute for good SERP's.
Guess what................it isn't.
It's like walking into a shop for the first time, it's irritating when assistants rush over before you've evencrossed the threshold with the "can I help you sir" line.
You just want to know the shop is open. If they sell quality gear you'll find that out for yourself by browsing.
I forget where I saw the fogures, but if saturated enough it will work - lets be honest M$ are hardly short of a bob or two and will probably have bought bulk advertising space for a long campaign!
Good luck as we need three big players in the market!
