Site indexing problem

I run many sites and facing indexing problem for some of them with live.com.

When I search for indexing pages for one of my articles directory, I found google has indexed 10800 pages, yahoo = 17500 and live only 498.

It is very strange. my site has been written in asp and article url format is like "/articles/?title&articleid=123"

I have very few visitors from msn and live, last month only 60 from each.

What could be the reason for indexing issue?

My awstats shows that live bot daily visits and downloads many pages on daily basis but I can't see them in their index.

My some other sites also have same problem with live.com

Live has indexed only one page (main page) of my one site and google and yahoo indexed in hundreds of that site.

One question more "What causes search engines to limit or drop indexing of a site?"

Please tell me all possibilities. Thanks

MSN's bot has struggled for awhile. Yahoo will always have more pages indexed as Inktomi is still pretty dumb and will index the same page multiple times if you have a dynamic site. Google usually is dead on. You should look into getting involved with MSN's site map (XML) program. That would help you with your indexing issue.

We have an XML sitemap with MSN and checked out their webmaster tools for issues. We have over 100k pages indexed in Google, Yahoo, and Ask. MSN has.. 76. We are lucky to see the bot 30 times a day. It seems to come in spurts, as sometimes it hits us several hundred times in a sitting (it is verified to be MSN). So, it's not just you. If you can figure it out, please let me know.
