How Often Should Fresh Content Be Added?

I'm losing some pages in MSN serps but they are still in index.
All I can think of is fresh content, or Algo update.

#1. I've heard fresh content should be added every 90 days or so.
Any suggestions on this?

#2. ALSO, I read in another forum that MSN Algo was updated again last month and kind of shakey?
Is anyone else losing pages that were "just recently" showing in the serps?

There's no rule about content; in general, the more the merrier - it will never hurt you (provided its unique and original), and may help you.

Many advise daily; it really all depends on where your site is, where it has a good chace of getting, and your resources.

Think about your readers - if they might think there's something missing - then there's something missing. SE effects are a helpful side effect of building a better site.

BUT - if you are losing position, unless it's because your rivals are doing better - then content is NOT the issue. There is no automatic negative to lack of new content, but all serps are relative.
